Shelby taught a course in genealogy and founded the Central Kentucky Genealogical Society which later changed its name to the Kentucky Genealogical Society. This collection contains notes and abstracts from various sources consulted in the course of Dr. Shelby's research. There are photocopies of sections from many books and articles relating to the Shelbys and other lines.
